"There is no single approach to grooming. Every pet needs something different, every groomer likes something different, and every owner wants something different."
When you've groomed a pet for a long time, you get to know them better than most people around them. Groomers see a dog more often than their vet does typically. We touch every single part of their body, including areas their owners don't even dare. We learn their personalities and quirks, and over time, as they age and things change, we notice this too. There have been many moments in my career when I have noticed a change in a client's senior pet and suggested they look further into it.
